Virpazar – Manastir Beška

Our journey typically commences from Virpazar, as we make our way towards the captivating island of Beska, renowned for its two 14th-century monasteries and for being a home of 14 nuns who reside on the island year-round.

Being a significant religious center in the Skadar Lake region, the island holds immense historical and cultural importance. The hospitable nuns are very proud of their rich knowledge of the island's heritage and are eager to share it with visitors and show them around.
